Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Email address — to send you reminder and confirmation emails.
• ZIP code — to determine your local time zone so reminders arrive at 6:30 AM your time, not ours.
• Event details — the event type, date, and optional personal note you enter when creating a reminder.
• IP address — logged briefly for rate-limiting and abuse prevention. We do not store IP addresses permanently.

What we don't collect

• We do not use tracking pixels or read-receipt technology in emails.
• We do not use third-party analytics (Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, etc.).
• We do not collect your name, phone number, or location beyond a ZIP code.
• We do not create a profile or track your behavior across the web.

Emails we send

We send three types of email:

• Confirmation email — sent once when you create a reminder. Nothing is activated until you click the link inside it.
• Manage-link email — sent when you request access to your reminders via the "Manage my reminders" form.
• Reminder email — sent at 6:30 AM your local time on the scheduled date. Each reminder email may include a single, clearly-labeled sponsor recommendation matched to your event category.

Sponsors and advertising

Reminder-net.com is free because reminder emails may include one sponsor recommendation per email, matched to your event type.

• Sponsor content is always clearly labeled as "From our sponsors."
• If you click a sponsor link, we record that click for billing purposes. We do not share your email address with sponsors — ever.
• If no sponsor matches your event category, no sponsor content appears.

Data sharing

We share your data with no one, with the following limited exceptions required to operate the service:

• Email delivery provider — we use an SMTP service to send emails. Your address is transmitted to them only to deliver your email.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party.

Deleting your data

You can delete all of your reminders and personal data at any time. From the Manage page (accessible via any manage link in your inbox), use the "Unsubscribe from all reminders" option at the bottom of the page. This immediately and permanently deletes your email address, all associated reminders, and all manage links from our database. There is no waiting period and no "processing your request" delay.
